Bianca Barnett
WTFCO would like to thank Bianca Barnett for taking time out of her busy scedule to give us this interview!
WTFCO: How did you first get into acting?
BARNETT: I love to entertain! Even as a little girl, I was a "ham"- making silly faces for the camera and trying to make my family laugh. While in school, I was in choir, theater, dance- so I was always performing. I began my modeling career as a teenager and then moved to LA to pursue acting. I want to continue doing that for the rest of my life.
WTFCO: How did you first get into acting?

WTFCO: What was your first role and how did you find the experience?
BARNETT: I worked on short films with a production company called "Silent Ghost Cinema" and I was terrified. I had no idea what I was in for or if I would be any good. I still have trouble watching
myself on film, but I force myself to do it because I want to get better at the craft.
WTFCO: You played Pig Bitch in Albino Farm, how did you become involved in the project?
BARNETT: Through Jason Barnett who was involved with creating the monsters and special effects. Originally, another actress was going to play "Pig Bitch", but the prosthetic makeup proved to be too difficult. I was brought in because I had experience with wearing prosthetics and did not mind getting "ugly" and "dirty" while hacking people up with rusty farm equipment.
WTFCO: What was going through your mind when you first read the script?
BARNETT: I was so excited to be working on my first major film and wanted to know how it would all come together. I could not wait to do all my own stunts!
WTFCO: Looking back on your experience, what would you like people to take away from your performance and the film?
BARNETT: It's a fun little horror film and I hope that people enjoy my performance. I love my fans and want to continue working in a variety of films in the future.
WTFCO: Are there any projects that you have you recently finished? Are there any you have in the near future for us to watch out for?
BARNETT: Jason and I just bought our first home which we are proudly renovating. I am also a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree. As far as acting, I've got so many projects lined up and I am booking new work all the time. By the end of summer, I will have my video blogs which will update everyone regularly. Also, I want to attend more conventions so I can meet all my fans!
WTFCO: While preparing for a role, do you have any special techniques you use while getting ready?
BARNETT: I obsess about everything from costume to how I approach the character. I also study my lines and try to get as comfortable as possible. I still get "stage fright", but it gets better each time I work on something.
WTFCO: How long have you been interested in the horror business? What is the earliest memory you have horror related that you enjoyed?
BARNETT: When I was two, my mom took me shopping for Christmas stocking stuffers. She let me pick out whatever I wanted and I chose a rubber skeleton. His name was "Skelly" and I took him everywhere I went. I rented every scary movie that Blockbuster carried!
WTFCO: How do you feel about being considered a "Scream Queen?"
BARNETT: I think it is fucking awesome! It's amazing how much love and support I've gotten from fans am working very hard to live up to the title and plan to keep working since I am still offered parts.
WTFCO: What scares you?
BARNETT: Dying before I accomplish all that I need to. I am definitely ambitious and a workaholic. Sadly, at times my friendships suffer from it. I am making straight A's in school, though!
WTFCO: My final question for you Miss Barnett…. where do you feel the horror genre is heading? How much do you think it has changed since you got involved in the genre?
BARNETT: Unfortunately, remakes and lower quality productions seem to rule the roost. I've only been involved in the genre for a few years, but I have noticed that the SAG strike and sluggish economy has slowed down productions of all size. Let's hope that ends soon!
